Harry Verburg was born in 1914.
He studied at the Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten and the Eerste Nederlandse Vrije Studio, both in The Hague.
Verburg was a pupil of Lou Asperslagh, Paul Kromjong, Henk Meijer and Christiaan de Moor.
He was a member of the Pilchri Studio, the Haagse Kunstkring and the Liga Nieuw Beelden. Verburg got, amongst others, the Royal Subsidy for the Art of Painting.
His works can now be found in for example the Gemeente Museum in The Hague and the Rijkscollectie.
Harry Verburg died in 1986.
